Domaine 7 - La Guimardière 2024

Chenin Blanc from Anjou in the Loire Valley, the home of the greatest dry Chenin on earth. Here you find black schist soils that can produce racy, expressive, powerful expressions of Chenin. 

Domaine 7 is an estate run by the very talented Abel Benmaamar. He looks after 4ha of vines in the commune of Martigné-Briand in Anjou. Abel has some magical plots of Chenin and Cabernet Franc on the classic schist soils farmed without chemicals and with a focus on biodiversity in the vineyards. Manual harvesting, indigenous yeasts, unfined and unfiltered, minimal SO2 at bottling. This wine is named after the small hamlet where the winery is located, the next village over from who we believe is the best Chenin producer in the world, Stephane Bernadeau.
